Out Side In is a 501(c)(3) organization which depends on public support to provide life saving services for people and horses. At Out Side In, our goal is to provide service to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay and to remove all barriers to treatment. Although Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is much more effective than traditional psychotherapy, it is also much more costly to provide. This is one reason there are very few organizations that provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy with licensed mental health professionals. Below are some ways that you can help, however, donations of any amount are always greatly appreciated and fully tax deductible! You can donate through the paypal button below, send a check, or call us and we can take a donation over the phone with a credit card!

In addition to cash donations please consider other ways to help such as by making a Facebook fundraiser for your birthday or other event (Out Side In, Inc. on FB), shopping through Amazon Smile and designating Out Side In as your charity of choice, or even considering memorial gifts in the name of a loved ones!
Horse Care
At Out Side In, we care for between 18 and 20 horses at any given time. Many of these horses are retired race horses who have either been injured or retired due to age or non-performance. The cost of these caring for these horses is a large expense and we depend on the support of generous donors to help cover these expenses. A donation in any amount large or small is greatly appreciated. Following are a few ways you can help!

Child Sponsorship
We have many children who are referred to us after suffering horrific abuse and/or neglect. These children are usually in need of intense, individual trauma treatment and many are under or uninsured. The therapy provided by our therapists and our horses is often life saving for many of these kids, however, it costs more to provide than traditional counseling in an office. You can help change a child's life by donating to cover the cost of therapy sessions.
$90 covers one hour of individual trauma treatment $600 pays for one child in our summer program $1000 covers the cost for an entire treatment program for a child
Veterans
Your donation will sponsor a disabled Veteran suffering from PTSD in our Heroes for Horses program. This is an intensive outpatient program for Veterans with severe PTSD where Veteran's spend four hours a week working with a horse assigned to them under the guidance of a licensed therapist and equine specialist. They also spend a minimum of one hour per week with a licensed psychotherapist trained in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. By combining work with the horses and the therapeutic component, Veterans are more engaged and committed than in traditional psychotherapy. Veterans are much less resistant to addressing emotional and mental health symptoms through their work with a horse who is dealing with many of the same negative emotional issues.Not only will you be helping to change the course of Veteran's life, but you will be giving a horse a second chance.

Horseshoes for Heroes
Do you have a Veteran in your life that you would like to honor? For a donation of $100 you can buy a Horseshoe in their name. When 100 Horseshoes are sold they will be made into an American flag to be displayed proudly in our indoor arena. Your Veterans name will be engraved on a brass plate and displayed on their Horseshoe.
